Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of our business, we have switched to solar and biomass to fuel our operation at head office.

Biomass is a clean, renewable energy source. Its initial energy comes from the sun, and plants or algae biomass can regrow in a relatively short amount of time. Trees, crops, and municipal solid waste are consistently available and can be managed sustainably.

Here at Genpower we sustainably source and use Biomass fuel within the colder months to heat our buildings in an eco friendly way, whilst supporting local agriculture and boosting the local economy.

Solar energy is a fast developing renewable energy source for businesses and domestic use alike.  Using the power of solar energy through sunlight the panels can convert the energy into stored electricity, if used successfully you can run a sufficient amount of your domestic or business need off of solar energy.

Here at Genpower we have installed 1,000 panels to our roof, which helps to charge our electric work vehicles, heat our buildings and turn on the lights.

Research has shown that electric cars are better for the environment. They emit fewer greenhouse gases and air pollutants than petrol or diesel cars. And this takes into account their production and electricity generation to keep them running. 

Here at Genpower we have actively sourced and implemented electrical charging points at our distribution centres to help charge and run our company and teams vehicles as part of our sustainability promise.
